Schoolyard Farms

Schoolyard Farms is a Partnership With the Wimberley Independent School District

Schoolyard Dogs works closely with the WISD 18+ program, which teaches vocational skills to special education students ages 18 to 22 after they graduate. Using land on the campus of the former Scudder Primary School, students raise crops and quail, hence the name Schoolyard Farms. Students in the program make dog treats and gourmet “Salts of the Earth,” which, along with quail eggs, are available for purchase at the Bus. The students also help us prepare food throughout the week and set up the Bus for business each day.
